Luzmila and the Birds is a documentary exploring the life and work of Bolivian singer and musician Luzmila Carpio. Luzmila popularized the Quechua language throughout the world through her performances, going a long way from her hometown of Potosí to perform all over the planet, a journey that included four years as cultural attaché at the Bolivian Embassy in Paris. This documentary looks at her present life, traveling the roads of her country in search of the voice of the land, Pachamama, gathering memories of her life in contact with nature, her people and her community, giving us the chance to hear her music in the natural locations that inspired her.
